ARE YOU VOLLEYBALL?!
A group of Arabic-speaking asylum-seekers arrive to an English-speaking country border and can't keep going. They conflict with border soldiers everyday until a deaf-mute child becomes a catalyst for better communication between two groups.
The date is November of 1944, just a few months before the end of WWII.
The location is somewhere deep in the Hurtgen forest, between the front lines of the two opposing armies, just inside of Nazi Germany.
An American corporal who has been manning a forward observation post is ordered to find his way back to his main line in the middle of the night in order to deliver extremely important intelligence information to his commander. While attempting to return to the main body of his unit, he stumbles across a couple of other (wounded) soldiers. He stops and discusses their shared dilemma for a few minutes, then continues on his mission. What happens next is somewhat of a mystery, but has definitely turned the situation into what can only be described as a VERY "Long Night."
